  • Pongify — chosen over an alternative you own. Pongify leaves behind a 3/3 Ape, but it costs one mana, and at this bracket the tempo gain outweighs giving the opponent a vanilla token.
  • Cyclonic Rift — included. Toxrill loses to a resolved Rhystic Study, not to creatures, and overload bounces every nonland permanent opponents control on a single turn.
  • Toxic Deluge — included. Toxrill grinds the board down with slime counters, and Toxic Deluge is that same plan compressed onto three mana.
  • Phyrexian Arena — included. Toxrill wins through attrition, so a card every turn keeps answers flowing long past the third sweeper resolves.
  • Sol Ring — included. Turn one Sol Ring is the best opener in Commander, so this slot clears on sight every single time.
  • Mana Vault — held back at this bracket. Legal at bracket four, but held back because fair Toxrill does not need the explosive start, and the slot returns once the bracket is raised.
